Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Kupfra app for iPhone ("Kupfra", "the app") and to the purchases that unlock it, developed by Darius Cirjan ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Kupfra you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Apple's Standard EULA
Kupfra is licensed to you through the App Store under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA applies, except where these terms give you more rights. Your purchases are also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple is not responsible for Kupfra or its support; we are.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Kupfra on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the App Store usage rules. You may not copy, resell, rent, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.
3. Guidance only: calculations and designs
Kupfra's results are guidance for planning, not engineering advice. Check your local building code before you build, and have electrical work designed, installed, tested and signed off by a qualified electrician where the law requires it. Stairs, guards and structures may need an approved design, a structural engineer, a building control or permit process, or an inspection.
- Kupfra's electrical and stair checks are based on published tables and rules (IEC 60364, BS 7671, the NEC, DIN 18065, the US IRC and the English Approved Document K) and on manufacturer data for materials. Codes change, differ by country, state and authority, and may be amended locally. Some tables are taken from secondary sources. The app shows the source of a value where it can.
- A result that shows a pass does not mean that your installation or stair complies with the law. Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and other regions have their own rules.
- Camera measurements are estimates (usually within 2 to 5 cm, and about 1 cm with LiDAR). Check every dimension with a tape before you cut or order.
- Quantities of materials, waste, costs and prices are estimates based on the inputs and unit prices you enter. Real jobs, products and suppliers differ.
- You are responsible for checking every result against the code that applies to your job, for the data you enter, and for what you build, install or sell using Kupfra. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for the design, installation, construction, safety or compliance of any stair, circuit, structure or work based on Kupfra's results.
- Client PDFs you create are your documents. You are responsible for what they say to your client, including your company details, prices and notes.
4. The free version and ads
Kupfra is free to download and use. The free version includes the straight stair, the cable size calculator and the concrete and screed calculator, with up to 3 saved projects, and it shows ads served by Google AdMob, including a full-screen ad when you open the app and at some points after you use it. What the ad and analytics services receive, and how to change your choices, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
The features that need the unlock, and the free limits, are shown in the app. If an unlock ends, the projects you saved are kept on your device, but you may not be able to open or add projects or use unlocked features beyond the free limits until you unlock Kupfra again.
5. Unlocking Kupfra
The unlock adds every stair type, every calculator, design options, the materials and cost estimate, client PDFs, PDF and text export, camera measuring and unlimited projects, and removes ads. It is sold through the App Store as:
- Kupfra Weekly: an auto-renewing subscription that renews every week.
- Kupfra Monthly: an auto-renewing subscription that renews every month.
- Kupfra Lifetime: a one-time purchase, which does not renew.
- From time to time, special offers, such as a yearly auto-renewing subscription or a discounted lifetime purchase.
Price. The price of each option, and for a subscription its billing period, is shown in the app and by Apple before you confirm, in your local currency. Prices may vary by country and may change. Apple tells you about a price increase for an active subscription before it applies and, where required, asks for your agreement.
Free trial. A subscription may start with a free trial if one is offered and you have not used one before. Whether a trial is available to you, and its length, is shown in the app before you confirm. When the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription or a lifetime unlock.
6. Payment, renewal and cancellation
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of a free trial if you started one.
- A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings: in Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Apple's guide is at support.apple.com/en-us/118428.
- If you cancel, the unlock stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the subscription does not renew. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
7. Restoring purchases and other devices
Purchases are tied to your Apple Account. On another iPhone or iPad signed in with the same Apple Account, or after reinstalling Kupfra, tap Restore purchases on the unlock screen or in Settings to restore an active subscription or a lifetime unlock. Projects are stored on each device and are not restored by a purchase.
8. Refunds and withdrawal
All purchases are processed by Apple, and we cannot issue refunds ourselves. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides refund requests under its own policies.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from a contract made at a distance within 14 days, without giving a reason. For digital content, this right can end once supply has started, if you agreed to that and acknowledged that you would lose it. Because Kupfra's purchases are made through the App Store, withdrawal requests and refunds are handled by Apple. If you start with a free trial, you can also cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged. Nothing in these terms limits your right of withdrawal or any other right you have under consumer protection law.
9. Acceptable use
Use Kupfra only for lawful purposes. Do not use it to present a design or installation as approved or certified when it is not, to interfere with the app or its services, or to circumvent the purchase or ad systems.
10. No warranty
To the extent permitted by law, Kupfra is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of results and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error free, or that its results are complete or suitable for your job or your country.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, or for damage to property or injury arising from the design, installation or construction of anything based on Kupfra's results, arising from your use of or inability to use Kupfra. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Kupfra and its unlock. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence or for death or personal injury caused by our fault, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Kupfra handles information. In short, your projects stay on your device and the app uses Google and RevenueCat services for ads, analytics, crash reports and purchases, as the policy describes.
13. Changes and termination
We may update Kupfra and these terms. If we change the terms, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date at least 30 days before it takes effect, and for a significant change we will also say so in the app's release notes. Changes apply from their effective date onwards and never to anything that happened before it. A change will not take away a feature you paid for or ask you to pay again for it. If you do not agree with a change, you can stop using Kupfra and delete it, and nothing in these terms limits a refund you are entitled to by law or through Apple. Changes that only benefit you, or that the law or a security problem requires, may take effect sooner.
Your licence ends if you break these terms. You can stop using Kupfra at any time by deleting it. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes will be heard by the competent courts of Romania, unless the consumer protection law of the country where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there or to rely on its mandatory rules.
